Terms of use

These terms cover the service we run, not the software. The OpenPOC client, server and wire protocol are free software under the GNU AGPLv3, and that licence governs the code itself. This page covers your use of the service, and it does not narrow that licence.

No guarantees

The service is free and is provided as is, with no guarantees of any kind. We do not promise that it will be available, that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any transmission will get through. Free use is subject to a quota, and transmission can be refused once that quota or the free allowance we subsidise is used up. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

Privacy

We do our best to protect your privacy, and /privacy sets out what the service actually does with your data. One thing is not ours to promise. Audio is relayed by Cloudflare, which decrypts each leg and re-encrypts it before sending it on to the other radios, so we cannot guarantee what Cloudflare does with audio while it holds it. Voice is not end-to-end encrypted and we will not imply that it is.

Accounts

A Google account is required to claim a radio, and you are responsible for what is done with the radios claimed under your account.

Suspension

We may suspend or terminate an account that we determine, in our reasonable judgment, is abusing the service. We may also permanently block a device from the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after a change takes effect is acceptance of the updated terms.
